After a performance at NYMT’s in concert showcase at the rose theatre in London, he’s gone on to play on musicals such as Dracula, fame, and has written drum parts for up and coming musicals Roanoke and 43 club. He’s also been a session drummer for artists such as Liz Mann, Lissy Taylor, Yoodoo Voodoo, and more recently performed at Glastonbury with techno marching band ‘Kilne project’.
Since moving to study at Waterbear The College of Music in Sheffield, Jay has been teaching for East Midlands Drum Tuition and The Rock Project, and will soon be joining Black Lantern in September. Jay has picked up a lot of experience in a short space of time, teaching people from ages 4 all the way to retired adults, including teaching students grades and even teaching in schools. His teaching style is all about creativity and allowing people freedom and to express themselves on the drums through listening skills and reading drum music, allowing students learn songs they love and build a passion for this amazing instrument!

“Joe always makes me feel really comfortable, creating a learning environment in which I feel supported and challenged in equal measures. He knows loads of techniques to make me unstuck when I'm struggling. He's an amazing drummer but more importantly than that he's a good guy. I would highly recommend.”
